Elements Editor crashes on start

New Here ,
Jun 16, 2017 Jun 16, 2017

Hello, I'm writing as Adobe informs me this is the only form of support offered for this problem.

Bought Adobe Photoshop Elements Editor last night for a reasonably urgent set of photo edit tasks.

Editor crashes within seconds starting.

I am running a 2007 Mac.

I've tried finding the mmxcore plugin per previous advice on forum. Doesn't seem to have the same files on this system, no mmxcore plugin to be deleted.

Tried holding down cmd-alt-shift and restarting to delete preferences. No success.

Tried downloading and running crash fix utility. No success.

No available updates listed. I'm in Australia.

Any advice?

Cheers 🙂

Mel

Can you please attach the complete crash report?

Did you try clearing preference once?

To do so, keep Cmd + Shift + Option keys pressed while launching Editor > this will ask to delete settings file.

Say yes.

If the issue persists, we would need the entire crash report to understand the issue.

Thanks,
Anwesha
