Until today, Elements running kind of Ok on 2020 MacBook Air M1, 8gb RAm / Ventura. Always a bit tight for disk space but otehrwise OK.

Today - with 4gb disk space free, it just plain won't open. I get an eddor box for a fraction of a second but it craps out faster than I can read it. Restart / trash prefs ineffective, What next?

I know almost nothing about Macs, but 4GB of disk space free sounds like a problem waiting to happen.

You definatly to unistall lots of stuff, or get a bigger hard drive. 4GB free is 1 GB less than the 5GB apple suggests, strongly, as an absolute minimum.

4GB free on any HDD makes it almost useless- more free space is needed for temp files for example.
