How do I get my old Elements 2.2 up to version 2020 so it will work on OS Catalina? My Photoshop cannot be made to work so I was hoping to fall back on my old registered Elements product updated.

You don't update the version you own, but rather buy a new version, however, adobe no longer sells version 2020.
Adobe only sells whatever the most current version of photoshop elements is and that's 2023 as of this posting.
Can you update your Mac to a later OS (Big sur, Monterey or Ventura) that can use Photoshop Elements 2023?
