Did you do a search for .exe in Explorer?

In case it's in a hidden folder, allow viewing of hidden folders.

Tried both those options but can't find the editor exe file.  Even uninstalled Elements and reinstalled it.

Make a new shortcut on your desktop, use the location of the exe  file for the shortcut.

You have some files set to hidden.

To show hidden files in Windows, open File Explorer, then click View on the top menu. In Windows 11, select Hidden items directly from the Show dropdown. In Windows 10, go to View > Options > Change folder and search options, select the View tab, choose Show hidden files, folders, and drives, and click OK to reveal them.

For Windows 11

    1. Open File Explorer (from the taskbar or by pressing Win + E).
    2. Click the View tab at the top of the window.
    3. Hover over Show.
  • Select Hidden items from the menu to display them.
For Windows 10

  • Open File Explorer.
  • Click the View tab.
  • Select Options, then click Change folder and search options.
  • In the Folder Options window, select the View tab.
  • Under Advanced settings, select the radio button for Show hidden files, folders, and drives.
  • Click OK to apply the changes.

(You can also pin the Editor to the task bar.)

Are you possibly being confused by the fact that the exe file, which is named PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe, is found in a folder that has a blue icon rather than the traditional yellow one provided by Windows.  See my screenshot and notice the difference in the folder icon between Elements 2025 and Elements 2018.
