This seems like a simple issue to fix, however, I can see discussions going back 8 months with the same issue, and still no fix??
When confirming names to faces, there is the choice of a check mark for yes, or an X for no. And while the check mark works, the X does nothing. I want to know if there is a fix for this, and if not, when it is going to be corrected.

This issue continues in Adobe Photoshop Elements 2023 Organizer in the Media view. It's quite frustrating because it's a simple toggle response of yes or no by clicking the checkmark or the X and then to have one repsonse work and the other not just feels like the defect is taunting me LOL. It notably reduces efficiency in working with media, especially when I'm trying to use "Mark Face" option to properly identify the person and the facial recognition prompt that won't go away with the click of an X keeps becoming active again and again in place of my work to mark the face manually.

Yes, this is an annoyance that has been around for several versions. I have found that if you wait an unreasonable amount of time, the X will actually work. My guess is that once you tell the program that it is wrong, it then has to go through the entire facial recognition alogrithm/database and see if it can come up with another suggestion or give up and allow you to add a name.
Don't hold your breath for a fix. IMO, the better practice is to name face stacks within the UnNamed People room.
