Failure to install Elements XXL in Elements 2018

It seems that Elements XXL will not install properly in my version of  E2018. In the File Menu, under Automate, XXL shows installed, but none of its features appear in the various menus. Also when I load Elements, I get this pop-up window:  "There is a problem with Generator. Please quit Photoshop and try again. If the problem persists, remove any third-party plug-ins or try reinstalling Photoshop." Doing so, does not work.

I also have Elements+ successfully installed. My OS is High Sierra 10.13.6. Could there be an incompatibility issue with the OS?

I don't use Elements XXL myself, only Elements+.

That said, you might have a look at this discussion comparing both softwares and maybe post in that forum for more help by users having used both (including Andrei Doubrovski, developper of Elements+):

What I suspect is that Elements XXL does not use the menu File >> Automate like Elements+. Its commands are supposed to be included in the Elements own interface?
