fault when trying to create a new project

When I open up Adobe photoshop and try to create a new project, as from the moment I press 'make' it gives me a fault where it says: 'Cannot create a new project'. I am using the free trial of adobe photshop 21.

Is there anyting I can do to prevent this from happening?

Photoshop or Photoshop Elements?

Anyway, could be anything really. Does your system have enough free diskspace? What OS are you using and is it fully updated?
