Can you give more information about what you are doing, your OS (Mac, Win and their versions), your Elements version?

solved by using the task manager and forcing elementsautoanalyser to close.

No thanks to Adobe for only offering help through Adobe community. Shame.

As a matter of fact, Adobe help for Elements (current version only except for installation and registration) is performed via the chat option, not by phone. Adobe office was closed for a week for the end of the year and there has been the usual surge in calls following that period... And even volunteers helping in this forum may have done like me: taking a vacation in family without any computer or smartphones...

Please come here, it's nearly always faster to get help in this forum, especially when dealing with older Elements versions.
