File opening in PSE 15 gives odd result

New Here ,
Apr 07, 2017 Apr 07, 2017

Often when opening a file  in PSE 15 the result is a small "strip" that cannot be expanded. I have to close the file from the photo bin and reopen and hopefully will get the right result. This has been happening since I purchased it several months ago. I have also seen the same thing when watching tutorials by Michelle Stelling of the National Association of Digital Scrapbookers on YouTube.

Could you take a screen print of the mysterious 'film strip'?

You can post it in the forum (not as mail attachment) using the image attachment icon on top of this writing space, 7th from left.

Here is the image. This one is from an attempt to open a new file, but the same thing can happen when opening an existing file.

Thanks,

That also happens sometimes for me when using File >> New from clipboard.

- I simply start again the process, more slowly.

- It does not appear for opening existing file

- It's not new to version 15, that happened before

- I am on Windows, and the glitch showed from XP to Win10.

No explanation... Sorry!
