I constantly get "alerts" that I need to update my Adobe Flash Player. Once I tried the update as requested and as a result my computer was infected with malware. Difficult to know when it is a legit update or malware. I don't think I need Flash Player and would like to delete it. Do I need Adobe Flash Player when using Adobe Photoshop Elements?
A frustrated Adobe Photoshop Elements user.

Flash player is used by a number of other non Adobe applications. As far as I know, it's not a requisite for Elements, but you may get problems with many other non Adobe applications.

Thanks Michel. I usually use Safari and very occasionally Chrome for my browser. I have been getting annoying bogus update messages meant to look legit messages originating from Adobe Flash Player. I’m probably targeted because I have the Flash Player. So I think I will get rid of Flash Player and see if any other of my applications require it. Can always download it again. I appreciate your help.
