If I create a New Folder and try to rename it, I getthe message "Analysis is currently running on selected media. Please try again after some time." What doesthat mean. Then, If I deletethe New Folder and then do Showw All Folders, it is still there.

Is the new folder in a watched folder hiearchy?  If so, I'm guessing that the folder has been locked while the watched folder analysis is determining whether there are any new files to import.  Same issue with deleting the folder - it may be locked by the analysis. 

Or have you recently added new media to the catalog which is currently being analyzed (for face recogntion etc.)?  This process can cause a general slowdown in performance.

I have occassionally seen similar messages but they usually go away fairly quickly.  If you see this again, try a reboot of your computer and immediately undertake the file/folder management command before any media analysis kicks in.
