Fuji XT2 RAW files [Unable to open in PSE14]

Has anyone found a way to open Fuji XT2 RAW files in Elements 14 directly rather than using Adobe DNG beforehand? I've seen it suggested this is possible with updates but I am (apparently) up to speed with updates but still unable to open the said RAW files

Cameras supported by Camera Raw

Camera Raw plug-in and Adobe application compatibility

The XT-2 was first supported in Camera Raw 9.6 which is only compatible with Elements 15 or later.

You'll never be able to open those files in PSE14.

Other than paying to upgrade your only other option is by converting to DNG first.

Thanks John, clearly the 'suggestion' I saw was incorrect. Its such a faff using DNG first. Also you seem to 'lose' the file numbers and consequently the ability to cross reference images. Out with the plastic again!

Gary

PS I may opt for Lightroom 6 in a disk version. May I take the liberty of asking if you know whether its correct this will support the XT2 RAW files with the available updates?

According to the table at the link previously posted, the X-T2 has been supported since Lightroom 6.6.

So, update to the current version 6.13 and you'll be fine.
