I'm working with a 16" Macbook Pro connected to an Apple display. When I open images they open on the laptop instad of the monitor and it's annoying when you're under time constraints to have to keep dragging all the images over to the display. I've read that if you close down PSE when it's not maximized, it should reopen in that last place it was closed. But how do you get the images to also open there too? I always work from the display, edit and close from there, but images still open on the laptop. Thanks for any suggestions!
Hi Jeff and thanks for answering. I'm on Monterey. 12.6.6 and PSE 2023. I had the Macbook set as the Main Display because I thought the dock would always be on the Main display. But it's not! I switched the Studio Display as the Main display, opened images in PSE, (I always float in windows), and voila, all the images opened on the Studio Display. Problem solved! Yipeee! Thanks!

What version of macOS and photoshop elements are you using?
What are the Display Settings your using on your MacBook Pro under
Apple>System Preferences>Displays>Display Settings
(Apple>System Settings>Displays)
In the photoshop elements editor are you using Floating Document Windows?
Adobe Photoshop Elements 2023 Editor>Preferences (Settings)>General>Allow
Floating Documents in Expert Mode.
