Gmail blocked my sign-in

Explorer ,
Feb 23, 2018 Feb 23, 2018

At long last I am finally installing my Elements 14!  When I tried to validate the Configure Email Client using my gmail info it failed.  I then received a notification from Gmail stating that they blocked a sign-in attempt from a less secure app.  I could have agreed to use Elements less secured apps but I thought I would check to see what other people are doing.  Thanks!!

PSE2018 is also blocked by gMail claiming it's an unsecure app.  I actualy told Google to allow the less secure apps and, after many complaints and warnings, Google finally did what I asked.  And PSE2018 works with gMail.

Can't say I like this situation.

Is Google correct that PSE is that non-secure?

I might try connecting PSE to Yahoo mail and see how that works.

I tried using Yahoo mail - same result as gMail.  Yahoo blocks login attempts from less secure apps.

So, why is PSE a less secure app?  Maybe Adobe could fix this issue?
