Running on Windows 8.1, i7 with 32GB of ram, SSD drive.
I have 2 monitors. If I click on anything outside the Premiere Element Window, Premiere will hang for 6 seconds when I return to the application window, After 6 seconds it returns to normal. Every time!
If I remain within the Premiere Element Window, I can work for hours without hanging once.
For example, I have a notepad with 10 lines of text to use in my credits title on the right monitor. I have Premiere on the left monitor.
I highlight the first line of text from notepad. I click on the Premiere Text field, wait for 6 seconds until premieres releases from it's hung state. Paste the text in Premiere. Go get the second line from notepad. Same issue again. This gets tiresome very fast.
Tried increasing the task manager priority of the the Premiere .exe file. No change. Check event logs. No errors. Task manager shows a couple of GB of memory taken and 25% CPU.
This even happens with not asset imported and nothing on the time line. I can re-create the issue just by moving the timeline scrubber. I wanted to make sure the that it was not related to any media.
Any ideas?
