HELP in Retrieving images from Photoshop Elements 3 & Elements 9

HELP! I stored 1533 photos in Photoshop Elements 3 which I believe turned into Photoshop Elements 9? I need help figuring out how to find/capture those photos? I have a MAC now & trying to figure out if I can re-install those applications & find my photos? Please help as they are my daughters newborn photos!

Your photofiles are not stored in Photoshop elements. They are on your hard drive wherever you put them.

Did you transfer these files into your new Mac?
