Help with new pc and importing

I purchased a new pc and had PS elements 15 on old pc with projects and photos, etc.  I have been trying to install my PS elements 15 on new pc with serial number and it won't install.  I did download elements 2020 and checked the box that I own previous version of PS.  Is there any way to find my photos and projects and import them?  I am not having any luck, and hoping anyone can help.  Thank you!
