Hour Glass displayed in my Organizer screen

When I open the organizer, several images displayed only show the hourglass. After I choose that image, the full screen will show the complete photo. However, when I close the photo, it goes back to the hourglass. Any ideas? Thank you.

The hourglass indicates that the thumbnails are being built.  If you select the images with the thumbnail and press Ctrl+Shift+U, the thumbnails will update.
