How do I ask Elements 2019 to search my computer for photos in every file?

It used to be that Elements would automatically search all "watched" files for my photos, but in trying to get all of my photos (saved here and there on my computer) into elements 2019, I cannot find how to get this to happen.  I know I have more photos from 2018 than are showing up in Elements 2018, but I want the program to search for them in my computer.

Use the Import>In Bulk dialog.

You can Add all the folders where your files might be to the search.  You can even select a whole hard drive to search.

However, such a broad search is likely to find numerous unwanted images.
