I need a different drop shadow effect than what was installed in Adobe Photoshop Elements 14.  How do I create it?

I need different shadows to use in my digital scrapbook.

Thanks!

I don't have PSE 14 so I don't know how that version creates drop shadows, but in my older version that is done in Layer Styles.

Under Style Settings there is full flexibility for the shadow distance and location (Lighting Angle), and you can even drag the shadow where you want it using the mouse.

Again, I don't know if these are in PSE 14.

Thanks - I got that to work.  Now, how do I save the new drop shadow so I can use it again?  When I do scrapbook pages, I need to use drop shadows of different depths depending on the object.  I would rather not have to do all the steps each time I need to use a drop shadow.

Thanks!

My PSE2 does not have the option to create layer styles but maybe yours does. I did a Google search on "photoshop save drop shadow" and found this link.

Layer effects and styles in Adobe Photoshop

It applies to Photoshop CS but maybe it works for PSE14. In particular look at this section. See if PSE14 has this option.
