I have been using PSE (at least every other update) since the beginning. What has happened to the formely versatile Slideshow Editor in PSE 14?
I want to be able to set transitions, add a blank slide of my chosen color and text and fit slides to the audio track I've added. Can not disable the Themes selection or find the old editor. I hope the developers have not left users with a largely useless Slideshow Editor.

The old slideshow is gone.
Now you have got a new version which fills the requirements of the target market for Elements:
- outputs high definition video (the old format is considered totally outdated by today's users)
- works with Macs as well as in Windows
- is very simple (You and me will call it simplistic).
It has lost all the features you are missing.
So, your best choice is to keep your Old Elements version together with the new one for slideshows.
Or, if you are ready for still more features, use Premiere Elements, which means a learning curve...
