how do I fix the text?

All the text is capitalized. How do I switch it to lowercase letters?

Try using the keyboard shortcut: Ctrl + Shift + Y

If that doesn't work, then have a look at this Adobe Knowledge Base article:

Make sure the font you are using supports both upper and lower case text.

there are some oddball font's that don't contain lower case characters.
