How to get updates for Elements 2019?

On both Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements for 2019, on both PC and Mac, the Help > Updates menu item stays grayed out.  Is this normal?  How can I check for product updates?

Unfortunately yes this is normal. If there are no updates, the check for updates is grayed out. There are almost no updates for elements. Adobe simply waits with improvements until the next major release. So if you want a simple update, you will have to buy an update. Next update will be the 2020 version.

A simple thing as an updated camera raw (available for photoshop cc) is still not updated in elements.

I have the same issue, Version ist Elements 2019, fresh installed a few days before, Version 2018 17.0... ?!?

there is a Version: Photoshop Elements 2019 update (version 2019.1)

available, but nowhere a Download-Link for that.

And the Update Button is greyed out.

Two things that, can't be:

- no Download-Link

- Update not working (a greyed out Button looks more like a issue, than no Updates available!!!)

Update will be for a Application issue, Photoshop one time used, closed (runs still in the background (see in the Task-Manager).

Next start not Working -> only killing the Application via Task-Manager or Reboot helps 😞

Same issue too.  Just updated to PSE 2019 (17.0)  Looks like there is an update released in March to 2019.1, but cannot find any info to download, and the update section of PSE 2019 is greyed out.

Read the correct answer above. There has been no update to PSE2019 (version 17) for Windows.

If the option is greyed out, that means no update is available. You are automatically warned when an update is ready in recent PSE versions.

It looks like there is a version 2019.1 that was released in March.

How do we get that update for the Mac?

Yes, the only update was for the Camera Raw plugin version 11.1. If that is the Camera Raw version you have installed (Help >> About plugins), then there is no available updates, at least for Windows (I don't know about Macs). Just note that for the full Photoshop, a Camera Raw 11.4 has just been released.

The only way to update (when available) in recent versions of Elements is from the help menu, not from any download.

And there has already been several posts confirming that if the update menu is greyed out, there is no update.

And with PSE2020 coming in a little more than one month, I very much doubt you'll see any update to PSE2019.

Yes. Unfortunately Adobe appears to have stopped updating the current version and the last update was in December 2018 when Camera Raw 11.1 was provided. Since then Photoshop, Lightroom and ACR have received four updates and are now on Camera Raw 11.4. The only workaround is to use the free DNG converter to batch process raw files into the Adobe raw format.

2019.1 only relates to a fix for macOS Mojave, not Windows.

If a customer pays for software, they should have the ability to check for updates.  I don't understand why I have to upgrade from 2019 to 2020 just to make sure it is update.  Poor customer service, I also use Photoshop and Lightroom and this is certainly not the case for them.  Very disappointed!
