How to open/edit NEF (Nikon Raw) files in Elements 2022?

My GF recently got a Nikon Z6II.   When she tries to open a Raw file it invokes Adobe Camera Raw 14.1 and it does not have a way to save as a TIF or other file format Elements can edit.   It only has a choice of saving as a DNG (digital negative) file.   What's the best way to work with NEF files with Photoshop Elements?

Simply open the file from the ACR (into the Elements Editor). You can then Save As into the desired format.
