how to put photos back into photos on Mac and out of photoshop15

I purchased and downloaded Photoshop 15 and Premiere 15. All  the photos on my desktop photos app are now in the photoshop app. How can I get them out of there and only bring in the ones I want to work with?  I uninstalled photoshop 15 and reinstalled the program but they still appeared in photoshop. I called for help and was told that I could not get help over the phone because photoshop 15 was too old for the technician to help me with. Help please and thanks!

Yes, sorry. It is Photoshop elements 15. I don't want the photos in there until I can organize them first. How can I back up and get them all out of there? And then import as I want. Thank you.

Hello,

If all of your media gets opened in Photoshop Elements then from menu option File -> Close All you can close all the open Media, it will ask to save changes if you made in any of the media. Select appropriate option as per your need.

But if by any chance you are mentioning Elements Organizer, then you need not worry about the photos there. You can organize all your media using it by tagging it according to name, place, events and apply few quick edits, create slideshow and share it.

For editing a specific photo you need to select that image and click on Editor from the lower panel. This will open Photoshop Elements Editor with selected image. You could kick start editing.

You will find below link helpful in exploring Elements Organizer.

Thanks
