I lost all my photos in Elements 10 are they still on computer?

I went into Elements 10 to find some photos and was suppised that the program did not launch and required a up file update.  Then all my folders pictures are gone.  I have never attmpted to organize anything I bought a used copy of elements 10 and spent days trying to do so.  Now its all gone and to be honest I'm not sure if the photos are deleted or if its just the link to them for Elements are deleted.  Can somebody tell me how this program works?

1. Your photofiles should still be on your computer wherever you put them. Are you on Windows or Mac?

2. PSEv.10 is pretty old. When you try to launch the program, do you get an error message? If so, what does it say?

3. On how many computers has this "used" copy of the software been installed and activated?

4. Has the organizer ever worked for you? What happens when you open a file (File>open) in the Editor?

1. Windows 10

2. I initail got a error message appears to have a missing a file. I installed it it now Elements 10 launches fine its just blank.

3.  It was used on 1 computer as far as I know I'm the second computer.

4. I spent quite a bit of time in this organizer a year ago, it was the main reason I bought this program was an effort to organize decades of photos.  I can open a file through Elemement /Explorer it will open up.  If I do a show all it will show any I opened up that way in folder.

Are you using an external drive?

No, I have everything in Documents folder on a desktop.
