I migrated all my data/apps to a new Macbook Pro 16" with the M-1 chip. I cannot open PSE 2021.

When I click on the PSE 2021 app, I get the home page.  I then click on Photo Editor and it says loading and then just stops.  I am not prompted to download Rosetta 2.  Sometimes I'm prompted to update/purchase/fix Adobe Creative Cloud but I have never subscribed to that before and don't wish to pay more.  I re-installed PSE 2021 from the disc I purchased but the same conditions apply.

Hi,

Photoshop Elements 2021 is not compatible with Macs with M1-Chip. You need to install Photoshop Elements 2022, as the latest version is compatible with macs with M1-chip.

Thanks!

Thanks for your response Somya!
My understanding is that when I would try to open PSE 2021 that I'd be prompted to import Rosetta 2.  Supposedly Rosetta 2 enables apps that were made for the Intel chip to work with the M-1 chip.  But I was never prompted to get Rosetta 2 nor was I able to bring it in independently.  Are you sure that just doesn't work or could there be some way of bringing in Rosetta 2 and seeing if it works?

Best wishes,
Elliot
