I need to install Photoshop Elements 14 purchased 2016 on my new mac mini OS 14.2.1 Sonoma

I have downloaded the software package on my new computer.

The folder "install" has to be renewed. But how should this work? I downloaded the package from Adope download area of my registered account. So what should I do?

I don't think Elements 14 will work, even with the latest version of Sonoma.  I am going to ping our resident Mac Expert, @Jeff Arola to confirm whether or not I am correct.

Greg_S. is right that photoshop elements 14 won't install on macOS Sonoma 14.2.1 because pse 14 uses a 32 bit installer

and Apple deprecated the running of 32 bit apps in macOS Catalina 10.15 and newer Mac operating systems.

This adobe KB says Catalina , but pertains to Big Sur, Monterey, Ventura and Sonoma as well.

Your best course of action is to upgrade to photoshop elements 2024, which is fully compatible with macOS Sonoma 14.2.1.
