Import from Apple Photos Program?

I just installed PSE 15.  I would like to import photos from albums that I edited and created from Photos (the program on my computer).  It seems like it is only giving me the option to get photos from iPhoto, which has been replaced by the Photos program.  Is there a way to import directly from photos from my computer? The only way I know how is to put them in a folder on my desktop, but then each album will fall out of order.

There is no iPhoto anymore with the new Sierra operating system.  The program has been substituted to what is called 'Photos' and is completely different, including the preferences menu. It doesn't even look close or have any of those options to what you show above.
