I am using Elements Organizer on an iMac. I like to import my photos from memory card and rename with the date photo taken, saving into an folder with the date the pictaure was taken. This has always worked on previous versions of Organizer and it has worked on this version, but of late I get no option to do this. Going in via the "File" option does not work either.
I experince the same problem with Photoshop Elements 2022 installed on Windows 10 and 11. When importing images from Camera or Card Reader, the images are copied to the selected folder, but it is not imported to the actual catalogue. I must do an extra step and import the images from Files and Folders to have them added to the catalogue. The issue is not on PSE 2018 or PSE 2019, only on PSE 2022.
More info to the issue above.The problem I described above seems to be valid only for the PSE 2022 bought and installed from Microsoft Store. I just downloaded a 30 day trial version from Adobe - no problem at all with importing from Camera of Card Reader.
