Import/Open of RAW as created by Nikon D7200

Hello, so far I had no trouble when importing RAW files being created by my old Nikon D90. Now, after switching to Nikon D7200 I receive an error message "RAW Format created by an unsupported camera model" - and the file does not open. Is there an add-on I can use, or do I have to change camera Settings?

Jeff i am having same problem just got a D7500 which won`t open raw I have elements 11 i tried updating but gets stuck at 25% and tells me to close program which i had, any thoughts? Thanks Gail

What operating system are you using?

Pse 11 won't open the D7500 nefs without first using the adobe dng converter to convert the nefs to dng copies which then pse 11 should open. The D7500 requires camera raw 9.12 and pse 11 can only use up to camera raw 7.4.

Hello Jeff, I am using Photoshop 12.1 under Windows 10 Home.

Same advice to use the dng converter applies in your case as well, since pse 12/12.1 isn't compatible with the 9.12 camera raw plugin.

Thank you Jeff, works. Means an extra step however... Allow me a final question - do you know if there a newer PS Version allowing the direct reading of the Nikon NEFs?

Yes, photoshop elements 2018 will open the Nikon D7500 nefs.
