Importing 2022 catalogue into 2024

On importing my 2022 catalogue into Elements 2024 I have lost some of the Keyword Tags, it has created lots of unknown folders with just a few files in them, it has put files in the wrong folders and completely messed up my filing system, what is wrong with it? How can I put it right? I'm worried it will mess something else up if I try to fix it.

This seems to be very unlikely.  What OS are you using?

What do you mean when you say you imported the catalogue?  When you first launched the Elements 2024 Organizer, you should have been offered the opportunity to convert your old Elements 2022 catalogue to Elements 2024.  I suspect that you missed that message (which is easy to do).

So, assuming that you installed Elements 2024 on the computer that had Elements 2022, you need to go to the Organizer's FIle>Manage Catalogs dialog and click on the Convert button.  See this HelpX article for more details.

I also suspect that you are viewing the Folders panel in List View.  You need to view the folders in Tree View.  See this discussion.
