Hello Des,
Thanks for sharing the requested information. These artefacts are visible on systems with certain GPUs running on Mac OS 10.14.
As a workaround, could you please try the following steps?
1. Click on Adobe Photoshop Elements 15 Editor (in the Menu Bar on the top).
2. Click on Preferences > General > Performance
3. Uncheck the "Use Graphics Processor for Adjusting Facial Features"
Now try using the Adjust Facial Features on the same image. Let me know if it works for you

Hi Meda Shama ,
I have included the original photograph before editing, and I have tried adjusting the facial feature ( smile) and given you the result. Note the dots and wiggles .
Please reply and tell me what to do, or credit me for this soft ware and I will upgrade to 19 . I purchased this soft ware so that I can adjust the Facial Feature, I would off kept 14 if it was not for 15 which had the Adjust Facial features.
As you can see the adjust facial features worked . But the spots and wiggles spoils the whole photo. This soft ware is now useless.
Nobody seems to be able to resolve it. I could wait for ever for a solution on the forum. No one has answered me since posting. Adobe has no solution. Google has no information. Please take the software back.
I await your reply
Thank you

Hi,
Please confirm that you now have both the before and after photographs
Note the adjust facial features works , you can see the mouth adjustment , but the resultant spots are not acceptable.
I have received no response from the forum. I bought the software because of this feature. Check on my software account, I have all the Photo elements from 10 -15 . Photo Elements 14 does not have adjust features this is the reason I upgraded. Please refund me for this software and I will purchase Photo Elements 19

Please refund my money so that I can upgrade to Photoshop elements 19 ( I hope this upgrade works )

I would like to take Elements 15 off this computer to see if it works on Macbook air which has the previous OS to Mojave . I think that Mojave could be the reason. Or can I down load a trial version to check. Will a trail version let me use the adjust facial features.

You can also download the trial version of Photoshop Elements 2019 on your MacBook Air. It would surely let you use the Adjust Facial Features option.
Download Photoshop Elements | 2019, 2018, and 15

Des, you should not have to uncheck again. Choices made in the Preferences dialog remain "sticky."
The purpose for checking the box is to use the computing power of the graphics card. This can speed up the editing process.

Thanks for such kind words, Des! Always happy to help!
And as Greg mentioned, the preferences stay the same unless you explicitly change them. So you won't have to uncheck the 'Use Graphics Processor for Adjusting Facial Features' checkbox everytime you wish to use this feature.
Thanks,

Hi Meda,
I have now purchased Photo Elements 19 and will be installing it on my IMac that has photoshop 15 on it.
I assumed the problem that I had with adjust facial features will never be solved.
Can I remove photoshop elements 15 off my iMac and register it on my Mac book?
Also can I install photoshop 19 on both my MacBook and iMac
Please advise
Best regards

Hello Des,
You can simply sign out from Photoshop Elements 15 on your iMac and proceed with the installation on your MacBook.
As far as Photoshop Elements 2019 is concerned, you can install and activate it on both MacBook as well as the iMac. But at a time, you can use it on only one system. In essence, your Adobe software license allows you to install the product on two computers. Since it is a single user license, the idea is that you can install it on a desktop computer and a laptop. But this single license is not to be used on both devices at the same time. Hope this helps!
Thanks,
Medha

Hi Medha,
There is a contradiction in the license terms here:

Hi Medha,
When I had all the problems with the artefacts on the photograph after adjusting facial features on Photoshop elements 15. I was under the impression that by purchasing Photoshop elements 19 which I did , as advised by the other customer services engineers ( who did not know what you knew ) , well guess what there is no difference after adjust facial features. The dreaded artefacts have returned. So why the suggestion thatās I purchase 19. I used your workaround , but this seems to slow the processor down. You would of thought that adobe checked this new software was compatible with Mojave 14.2. they must of know that the upgrade was being implemented. So now I have unchecked the āuse Graphics Processor for adjusting Facial Featuresā Why did your colleges suggest that I should upgrade to Elements 19??
Should I not have to change anything with the new software?
Thank you Best Regards
Des
