The tools in the tool panel are too small and the color was removed making it more tedious too select and pick options for the tools. I don't know the reason for the change but in my mind the older versions did this better.
I agree. I like the tools in 2023 much better. Everything seems smaller in Elements 2024; you go blind trying to work with it for long.
I'm a proponent for large computer screens now. It really does make a difference.

Personally, I agree with you. But you can't please all of the people all of the time.

I totally agree it's a problem that needs to be fixed. Looks to me like the Adobe PSE 2024 programmers made a mistake. Hopefully these posts will be brought to their attention.

The Color picker is another tool that was better by magnitudes in the previous version. It isn't simpler. It's much less useful and makes nuanced selections a lot more difftcult.

@jerseyjoe54 what exactly are you talking about? The color picker tool is almost indentical. In fact, Elements 2024 adds some color to the dialog whereas your original post complains about color being removed.

I missed this reply when you posted it. When I went back and looked I didn't know where you got that image. Mine was completely different. It was then that I checked Preferences and found that "Windows" was selected instead of "Adobe". I had never used that setting in the past and didn't even realize it was selected. Soooo, I apologize for the misinformation and for the delay in responding. And thank you for the information.
