I have a problem reinstalling Photoshop Elements 2020 on Windows 10.
This is what has happened so far.
I had Elements 10 installed, I installed a trial version of 2020 and it worked fine.
For some reason I uninstalled the trial and then decided I wanted to continue with it.
I cannot now reinstall it I just get an error 501. (I think this suggests that it is already installed or some file it needs to modify is in use) but I cannot find the log file.
I have tried Adobe’s cleaner and tried uninstalling Elements 10 and running the cleaner again I still get the same error.
I don’t want to erase the drive and start from scratch so I am wondering if anyone has seen this before and found a solution.
