I have been unable to open Photo Editor as a message pops up saying "could not initialise photo elements because the disk is full"

I have plenty of memory available. Can anyone enlighten me please.

Memory isn't diskspace, without enough diskspace hardly any program will be able to run. So... how much free diskspace do you have left? That's what you shouyld be focussing on, not memory.
