Hi I've installed photo elements 12. Gone through everything. When I came to alter a photo it said I had to sign into adobe which I did then it all just dissapeared. What am I doing wrong please?

Could you please share some more details like the platform on which you are trying to install and use the application?
Did you Serialized the product at the time of installation or was it a trial version? In case if trial version, did you see any Trial Period screen after signing in?
