Was tun?

If I understand well, you want to copy the IPTC information stored in the metadata section of a file and apply the same information to other files in the same folder.

Since you mention 'folders', I am not sure if you are using the Organizer which is the tool to manage such information.

- The organizer uses the 'downloader' module to 'Import' files on your drives and to register them in the catalog. There is an option to apply a set of information stored in a 'template' at import time.

- The general workflow is to enter your information like keywords, captions, ratings in your catalog. That info is NOT automatically written in the files themselves; you have to decide to 'write metadata to files' for that purpose (shortcut Ctrl W). So the idea is to enter your relevant IPTC data in the catalog, then to write metadata to files.

- The properties panel of the organizer (on the right) has an IPTC section. You can select several files in the catalog (from a subfolder for instance) and apply the same IPTC data to all files at the same time. That does not add anything to the catalog, only to the files themselves.

Which data from the IPTC panel do you want to apply at the same time?

Thank you very much! Up to now I did not use the organizer, but I will try. I want to transport all IPTC-Data to all photos in a windows-folder.

Once you have 'imported' files in a catalog of the organizer, you can select a number of files at the same time, for instance all the files of a subfolder. Then from the 'Information' panel on the right, you have a button to 'Edit IPTC Information'. That opens a dialog to enter the same info into all selected files.

If you don't use the organizer, you might consider other free softwares like Faststone, Irfanview, Xnview etc to do the job or special tools specialized in metadata editing.
