Is it possible to import files into Premiere Elements without adding them to the organiser catalog?

I am making time-lapse videos from thousands of single images. When I import thousands of images into an Premiere Elements project, they are automatically added to the Elements Organiser catalog, burying other stills among many, many time-lapse stills.

Can I turn off this automatic feature?

Hi,

This is a designed behaviour of the application to automatically import those images to active Organizer catalog which are added to Premiere Elements if they are not already present there.

As a workaround, I would suggest you switch to a new catalog in Organizer while you work on this project in Premiere Elements so that your master catalog remains intact.

To know, how to create new catalog, please check -Create and edit catalogs in Adobe Elements Organizer
