Is there a way to hide the position indicators on the marquee tool?

When I am pasting in something I copied wit the marquee tool. I need to be able to *SEE* the area to poisition it correctly.

Those pop-up black boxes that indicate the horizontal and vertical positions are often IN THE WAY.

Is there a way to disable or hide them?

You can use the arrow keys to move the selection.  The position box will not appear.

I want to position the paste with my mouse -- don't want the arrow keys.
