issue with "watch folders"

New Here ,
Nov 11, 2016 Nov 11, 2016

Hello,

I lately upgraded to Photoshop Elements 14.

I copied today directories&files in my main directory where are located all my photos (>12 000!).

I was expecting PSE to notify me for new photos but that was not the case.

So I go to check the watch folders but there are none !

I do not know till when it lost its configuration. No problem, so I add my main directory in the watched folders.

No new notification appears. Exiting PSE then starting it either.

That reminds me that months ago I copied quickly some photos and never get the notification.

Question : how to make PSE recheck all my folders for forgotten photos ?

Of course I know where are my last copies, but I want to recheck all...

Regards.

Christophe

For a master folder with 12.000 items (a small catalog), I estimate the process time to be about half an hour. If you know where the new files are situated, it's much quicker, of course. That's why I practically never use watched folders (I don't like background tasks, I prefer to be the master )
