Issues with map for place tags

Community Beginner ,

I organize the majority of my photos by location in Elements' Organizer.  However, for the past few days, I have been unable to create new place tags.  I have tried both clicking the plus sign in the Tags side panel and going to Places at the top of the screen (Media, People, Places, Events).  The screen comes up immediately, but the map is not present, and I can't search for an address.  (I can type in the search bar but get no results.)  My computer has plenty of available memory, and the program is otherwise fast. I have tried waiting for the map to load, but it never does, and I never get the spinning (loading) wheel.  I have tried optimizing the catalog, and there are no updates available.  I know that Photoshop uses Google Maps, and I am able to access Google Maps immediately in my web browser.  Does anyone have any advice on how I can resolve this problem?  I would like to be able to create new location tags.  (At present, I am using other forms of tag as a stop-gap for location tags, but that is inelegant and clunky.)

I  too have the same problem - mine disappeared 3 days ago. I know there was an issue back in 2017 which was fixed last November and it had been working until now. Adobe, have you got any ideas please?

You are not speaking to Adobe here, it's a user to user forum.

Do you remember that the last issue was on Google's side?

Google fixed the problem later.

Maybe you are having a similar issue (several posts those last days).
