Logs.txt file with Photoshop Elements (PSE) 2020

I've been using PSE for many, many, years and versions.

However, with the upgrade to the 2020 version, I noticed a file called logs.txt on my desktop.  It has entries like this:

Face: 1
Left: 0.470029
Right: 0.565006
Top: 0.241267
Bottom: 0.399563
Face: 2
Left: 0.290384
Right: 0.407661
Top: 0.193147
Bottom: 0.38861
Face: 3
Left: 0.578529
Right: 0.699157
Top: 0.263228
Bottom: 0.464274

If I delete the file, it will be re-created.  The file seems to be created (or appended) when I import new files into Organizer and/or I do face detection.

I probably would never have noticed this file if it hadn't appeared on my desktop.  I'm unsure if this behavior is normal, or if there's a way to turn it off, or to at least have it another location.

Any information would be helpful.

I also get this file on my desktop every time I use the Organizer to import photos. Would really like to know how to turn this off.

Hi,

I also had this Problem and got help from the support:

- Close all Adobe Programs

- go to the hidden folder: C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\

- rename the folder "18.0" to "18.0_old"

- restart the organizer or the editor

After this, the problem have been solved in my case 🙂

I hope I could help you

Even though you posted this fix a few years ago it helped me out a lot. Fixed the Logs.txt on desktop problem and a couple of other issues. Thanks for the post!
