Lost Tags ?

I upgraded from 12 to 13 Elements and my Tags (which of course were on all 32,000 Photos) did not make the carry over - now I'm not sure how to even get to the old news - HELP!!!

I assume you have installed PSE13 on the same computer. That means that when installing PSE13, you have been prompted to convert your current catalog. If you have missed that opportunity, you can still use the Catalog manager to 'convert' or re-convert any older catalog.

By default the tags are stored only if the catalog, not in the files themselves. If you reimport your files in the new empty catalog of PSE13, the tags won't be restored unless you have chosen  before the File menu to 'write metadata to tags', which writes the tags to the metadata header. Re-importing is not only much slower, it only restores tags and captions, not stacks, version sets or albums.
