Magic extractor

Recently upgraded to version 18 from 11, but cannot find the magic extractor tool. Is this no longer available?

The latest versions of PSE have the Auto-Selection tool – see image below.

Alternatively, the background eraser may help. It has a hotspot for removing pixels with a specific color.

Yes, Elements is the version I was referring to. I will try the above suggestions, thanks.

If you try the auto-selection tool simply drag a box around your subject and release the mouse. It’s not always perfect but gives a great start which can be refined.
