I've had three or four previously purchased versions of PSE registered with Adobe and am contemplating the most current, PSE 2018. In the past I've always bought the 2-disc sets, which come with separate registration numbers for the two platforms. I understand that the upgrade discount price would be download only but would like to verify whether I can safely and legally install it on both my Windo9ws 7 desktop and MacBook Pro laptop. I also understand that if permissible there would be two different install files (.exe & .dmg).

If you buy direct from adobe, one either buys a license for mac or windows, but not both for the same upgrade price.
In other words an upgrade version for mac costs 79.95 and then if you wanted a mac license one would have to spend another 79.99.
What you want is the boxed dvd set like you bought before, that one buys outside adobe and that includes install dvds for both mac and windows that use the same serial and is often times cheaper than buying direct from adobe.

It's as I suspected, the upgrade price was for a single installation only, purchaser's choice of pc or Mac.
In the past I'd typically bought a boxed disc set on Black Friday, taking advantage of the deliberate, temporary lower prices. This year I goofed and now have to live with PSE 12 on my Windows 7 desktop a while longer.
Thanks, Jeff
