I had a very old version of Photoshop Elements, that worked beautifully for my needs but no longer works due to computer "upgrades"
I purchased 2018 but am having issues with getting photos to merge. I use this feature mainly for legal size documents (I do genealogy) where I scan the document in to 2 different photos (upper half and lower half). I used to use the Panorama in the old version and would be told that it could not figure it out so it would then let me drag and drop the two halves on to the field (Portrait mode) and it would then "merge" them into one photo and select a 8 x 10 size. My scanner only does up to letter size thus any old over-sized documents must be scanned in portions.
Photomerge Panorama in 2018 is horizontal instead of portrait, and if there is a way to change this default, I haven't figured it out. Also, I have both photos in the Photo Bin, Ctrl Click on them both but I have never been able to get them to both show up in the main Photomerge Panoramic window.
Would someone please explain to me 1) either what I am doing wrong in this new version or 2) what can I do to achieve what I need to do with my photos of documents?
Thank you
You could crop the documents (A&B), retaining only the portion that is useful for your purpose.
