After updating my MacBook Air with Apple's Mojave OS, I could still open a picture in Photoshop Elements 11, but clicking on tools or the picture would cause it to Elements to quit. By going through the Mac's System Preferences, Security, and other hoops, I enabled Adobe to do a "work around." This kept pictures on the screen, and I could crop, dodge, etc. But the Information box, found under Windows, that I use to measure image density, pixels, etc. didn't work properly. The numbers should change as I moved the cursor over the image. But they only changed after I clicked on the Information box, then moved back to the part of the picture I wanted to measure, and clicked again there. A hassle.
About two weeks ago I wrote about the problem on this Forum. A user named Jeff Arola suggested that I "dock" the information box. I think I finally figured out what he meant, and moved the box to the lower right corner of the Elements screen. This made a slight improvement: I don't have to move the cursor back and forth from Info box to image. But I still must click on each part of the image I want to read. I can't move the cursor over the image and see the numbers automatically fluctuate with changing image density. This earlier feature not only didn't demand my clicking again and again and again, trying to find the highest and lowest value points, it let me quickly evaluate a whole light or dark area. So, the hassle is lessened, but it's still a hassle.
I tried writing back to Mr. Arola for possibly getting more help, but saw no way in the forum to do that. So I have to restate the problem here.
And now I've found another Mojave problem. I can no longer use the File > File Info box, where I entered authorship, captions, and keywords. The box opens, I enter the information, and click OK, and then Elements quits. A window appears asking me to Ignore, Report, or Reopen. No matter what I do, the information is gone. The File Info box, crucial to my job, is useless.
Can anyone help resolve either of these problems?
I'll also invite comment on a complaint about Adobe the company: I appreciate that there is a forum of users to help troubleshoot. But that there is no clear way to contact Adobe is disappointing enough that I am reluctant to buy from them again. Can anyone shed light on their treatment?
Thanks.

Agree wholeheartedly. I feel I was hoodwinked buying Elements 2019 and having it crash so much for so many people and not having a way to contact the company. I'll be contacting Apple for a refund if they do not resolve the issues.

They know they have a problem and its been weeks and no update. what ever you do tell people not to but any adobe software if this is how they treat us. I dont normally complain but I use this for work every day and the frustration is massive.
I've done all the sugessted changes you see around and nothing works for very long.
