Mojave problems

New Here ,

After updating my MacBook Air with Apple's Mojave OS, I could still open a picture in Photoshop Elements 11, but clicking on tools or the picture would cause it to disappear. By going through the Mac's System Preferences, Security, and other hoops, I enabled Adobe to do a "work around." Now the the pictures stay on the screen, and I can crop, dodge, etc. But the Information box, found under Windows, that I use to measure image density, pixels, etc. does not work properly. The numbers should should change as I move the cursor over the image. But they only change when I move the Information box. So I can't really read the picture. I talked about this with Apple. They tried to find a solution, but got no further than I had, and finally deferred to Adobe. Can anyone there help solve this problem? Thank you.
