After I updated my photoshop to the latest version, it stops showing contents of my mov files and renders a still black screen. Anyone experiencing the same issue or know the fix?

What OS are you using?

Are you getting a message that the a codec is not installed?

Does the video come from an iPhone or iPad?

Is the video shot in HEVC?

Whatever your answers may be, the easy solution is to use a free utility called Handbrake to convert the files to .mp4.  You can convert the files in batches.

Personally, I have had similar issues with .mov files from my iPhone.   The problem for me on Windows is that the Microsoft High Efficiency extension that I purchased (for $1) with Win 10 does not seem to work with Win 11 after I upgraded the OS on my machine, and I have found it impossible to delete the extension and reinstall it.  But, to be honest, I haven't spent much time on the problem because I have other solutions available.
